Philip

Meet Phillip, a 50-pound Staffy mix with a heart as big as his love for flinging plushie toys! Phillip is a master of play and adores snuggles, especially after he's conquered bath time like the champ he is. He can be a little shy initially, but he's gaining confidence and finding his voice every day. Phillip's leash manners are improving, and while he might try to lead the walk, a patient handler will find him quickly getting back on track.

Ideal Home

Phillip is a social butterfly with other dogs of all sizes and is good with men and women. However, he is not a fan of hands being raised above him, as he's learning that hands are for petting, not for threats. A home with children 10 years and over is recommended to ensure the best fit. He has a moderate to high energy level and needs daily exercise and mental stimulation. Supervised play is a must, as he has a strong connection with his chew toys.

Phillip is a healthy boy with no ongoing health concerns mentioned.

Training & Support

Phillip knows how to sit, though his enthusiasm can sometimes get the best of him, especially when treats are involved. He is crate-trained and does not dig. He needs a home that understands he is a work in progress and can offer love and patience as he continues to grow.

Phillip is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. Transports depart weekly.
