Knox is a handsome and intelligent 1.5-year-old, 82-pound boy with a striking blue coat and brindle markings. He was rescued from a local kill shelter, initially underweight and fearful, but has blossomed into a confident and loving companion. Knox walks well on a leash, especially with a front-hooking harness, is crate-trained, and loves toys and playtime, including zoomies in the yard! He gets along wonderfully with all dogs. While he hasn't been cat-tested, he shows no signs of aggression. Knox is quick to do his business outdoors and is likely already housetrained, or will be with a consistent schedule. He's a smart cookie, already mastering "sit" and "down" and comes when called. He's highly food-motivated and attentive, making him eager to learn more.
Ideal Home
Knox would thrive in an inside home with a fenced yard for play. He would enjoy having another doggy friend and a home filled with toys. He needs a patient owner who understands the time commitment required for a dog to adjust and acclimate. Retired or work-from-home individuals would be ideal as Knox adores attention.
Ongoing Health
Knox is fully vetted and healthy. He was heartworm positive upon rescue and is currently finishing his treatment.
Training & Support
Knox is very smart and has already learned basic commands with minimal training. He is food motivated and attentive, making him a quick learner. A home that can continue his education with positive reinforcement will set him up for success.
