Vanna

Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! She's a playful and affectionate "velcro dog" who absolutely adores being close to her people. Once Vanna bonds with you, she's happiest by your side, whether you're chilling at home or embarking on an adventure. She has medium energy levels and would thrive in an active household. Fetch and walks are her jam, and she's a fantastic car companion for all your outings. Vanna is trusted to roam freely in the house and isn't destructive – she just wants to be near her favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Vanna would do best as the only dog in the home, though she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) if there are no resources to guard. She's not a fan of smaller dogs and can sometimes be reactive on leash, so continued training will be important. Vanna is reserved with strangers but warms up with time. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space.

Ongoing Health

Vanna has experienced significant trauma and is actively working on behaviors around other dogs. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people.

Training & Support

Vanna needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, with occasional accidents. She is crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has immense potential to continue growing.

Transportation

Vanna is currently located in Texas and can be transported to various locations once approved. Please note that transports run every few weeks, and dogs will be on the next available transport after approval. If you have specific time constraints for adoption, please apply during that period.
