About 'Ember' Salt of the Earth's Equipped to Ignite ML

'Ember' is a 7-month-old female Miniature Dachshund with a striking black and tan coat. She was initially being evaluated as a potential breeding prospect, but after careful consideration, we've decided she'd be happiest in a pet-only home. Ember is a vibrant ball of energy, eager to play and explore. She's a quick learner, especially when treats are involved, and is well on her way to being house-trained, though occasional accidents can still happen. She has a deep love for water and the outdoors, truly embodying the spirit of a dachshund! Her lineage suggests she may mature to be slightly taller and more slender than American-bred dachshunds.

Ideal Home

Ember would thrive in an active home with a family experienced with the dachshund breed. She needs a secure fenced yard to satisfy her love for outdoor adventures. Due to her energetic and somewhat dominant nature, she'll do best in a home where she can be the alpha dog among other canines. She enjoys playing roughly, so a home that can provide clear boundaries and consistent, firm training will set her up for success. She does well with children.

Ongoing Health

Ember is currently healthy with no known medical issues. She has received all necessary vaccinations and deworming. She will undergo a vet check before going to her new home, and her health records will be provided. As per contract, she cannot be spayed until after 12 months of age.

Training & Support

Ember is crate-trained and enjoys car rides. While she's learning house-training, she still has occasional accidents. Her breed's known stubbornness means she benefits greatly from consistent training and clear boundaries. Her strong drive and biddability make her an excellent candidate for continued obedience training.
