My name is Lucy, and I'm a precious 1-year-old Mini Dachshund weighing in at 10 lbs. While I'm fully grown, I'm still a puppy at heart and would make a wonderful companion for someone who will dote on me, carry me around, and keep me active and entertained. I'm looking for a home where I can be the star of the show! If there's another dog in the home, a larger dog would be a better match for me. I enjoy playing with my toys, running in the yard, and taking naps on the couch. I also love going for walks and exploring, and I get super excited when I see my leash! I haven't been around young children, so a home with children 12 and older would be best. We're also unsure about how I'd do with cats. My ideal forever humans would live in a single-family home, as I can be quite talkative and wouldn't do well in an apartment. Consistency with my routine is important, and I'll get the hang of my bathroom schedule with a few days of attention and work. I'm also happy to use a crate if needed. Dachshund owners know that this breed, though small, has a strong will, but I'll follow your lead if you know what's best for me. Previous Dachshund experience is a big plus!
