Porter

Meet Porter! Porter is a sweet senior dog who has been at our shelter for a while now. He came to us as a timid, scared stray, but thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, he’s slowly coming out of his shell. Porter is partially blind and deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying his walks, responding to his name, and even taking treats from our hands! He is a terrier mix, and a handsome boy with a long, black coat. Porter is neutered, microchipped, and current on all his vaccinations, all ready for a new home.

Ideal Home

Porter is looking for a loving home where someone is patient and willing to spend quality time helping him continue to gain confidence. He also enjoys the company of other dogs. If you rent your home, you will be required to provide written approval from your landlord that you can have a dog. This approval needs to be specific, i.e., all dogs okay, no big dogs, specific breeds restricted, etc.

Porter is partially blind and deaf. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Porter is still working on gaining confidence. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but a meet and greet will be required if there are any other dogs in the household.
