Athena, an approximately 1-year-old Terrier mix, is a delightful and energetic young dog with a heart full of love and a spirit full of playful curiosity. She weighs about 35 pounds and has been spayed. Athena and her siblings were found abandoned in the woods, a sad start to their lives, but she's now ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving family. She's growing into a confident and mature dog, but still has plenty of puppy energy and enthusiasm to share. Athena is affectionate, loves to zoom around, and is always eager to be involved in whatever her people are doing.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide her with daily physical exercise and mental enrichment. She needs plenty of appropriate chew toys and continued guidance as she navigates puppy behaviors. A home that understands and embraces puppy exuberance, while also offering structure and consistency, will be ideal. She would likely do best in a home without cats, as her strong play drive might lead her to try and engage them as she does with dogs.

Training & Support
Athena is a smart and eager learner, already mastering commands like sit, down, drop it, and come. She thrives with positive reinforcement and ongoing training. She is learning to understand social boundaries with other dogs and is improving daily. Continued socialization and patience will help her mature beautifully.

- Transports run every few weeks, and Athena will be on the next available transport once approved.

- We are a volunteer-run rescue and ask for serious inquiries only.
- If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure they are on board.
- Our process includes an application, a phone interview, a video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and personal and vet reference checks.
- Transport is included in our adoption donation.
