Daffy is a delightful 2-year-old, 65-pound Plott Hound Mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life! He was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, and thanks to his amazing foster mom and Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue, he's now ready to find his forever family. Daffy is a playful and energetic boy who thrives on companionship. He absolutely adores other dogs and shines at doggy daycare, where he's made a great impression!
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he'd be a better fit for a household with children over 10, as he can sometimes forget his own strength when excited.

Daffy is a healthy young dog with no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Daffy is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he uses his crate as a safe space. He knows his name and comes when called. He enjoys playing fetch and being by his person's side. Daffy is still working on leash manners, as he tends to pull and zigzag, but he is eager to learn with guidance. When unsupervised, he may "relocate" household items to the yard, so crating him while you're away is recommended. With patience and consistent training, he'll continue to blossom!
