Meet Ernie!

If you've ever wished your favorite stuffed animal could magically come to life, then Ernie is the dog for you! This ridiculously handsome chocolate Lab/Staffy mix is a big, strong hunk of a dog and the sweetest, squishiest love bug you've ever met. He has a happy pittie smile, soulful amber eyes, adorable forehead wrinkles, and a personality that will keep you smiling every single day. Ernie is the definition of a good boy: fully potty trained, crate trained, walks wonderfully on leash, knows "sit," and has fantastic house manners. He's been living with two other large dogs in his foster home and has been absolutely amazing, making it a wonder he's still waiting for a family.

Ernie's absolute favorite thing in the world is his people. He's a lover through and through, happy to be by your side when you're sitting down or soaking up the sun with you on the patio. He just wants to be wherever his favorite humans are. His greatest talent? The sploot! He's elevated it to an art form, splooting while walking, playing, or just contemplating his next move. When he's not perfecting his signature move, he's usually carrying around one of his beloved stuffed toys, proudly parading them like priceless treasures. He's also a social butterfly with other dogs and loves to play chase, happily zooming around the yard until everyone is smiling. After playtime, it's instant cuddle mode. Ernie has an incredible off-switch, equally happy curling up beside you for a quiet evening or being your adventure buddy during the day. He was wonderful with children, showing how gentle he is and offering extra kindness to little humans.

• A video call with your pet is required before adoption finalization.
• The adoption fee is $1000.

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a dedicated Facebook event page. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
