Training & Support

While Salome is a quick learner, she may need some guidance as she settles into her new home. We recommend slow and cautious introductions to any resident dogs, allowing ample time for decompression.

• All household members, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers, should be present to meet Salome.
• We can arrange dog-to-dog meet-and-greets for your current dog(s) at the shelter. Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s) is required.

Transportation

Salome is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control, 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Walk-in visitors are welcome daily from 12 pm to 7 pm. If you plan to adopt the same day, please arrive before 5:30 pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30 pm can view animals until 7 pm.
