About ANNIE

Annie is a 39 lb brindle girl with a distinctive ridge on her neck! Annie was found as a stray and, while a kind person tried to help her, her initial foster home proved too overwhelming with its busy environment and other animals. She arrived at PAC hoping to be reunited with her family, but sadly, no one came forward. Annie is a shy and sensitive soul who can be nervous around fast-moving things and busy places. She isn't reactive or aggressive, just overwhelmed and unsure. She seemed unbothered by cats and, once she felt safe and removed from leash pressure, she began to relax and observe her surroundings. Annie is alert to sounds and will pause to take everything in, especially when she sees distant movement. In the yard, she enjoyed gentle attention and would lean into scratches once she felt secure. She even showed a bit of curiosity towards a tennis ball before a surprise bonk ended that game. Annie is also starting to show interest in other dogs from a distance, preferring calm and respectful interactions, and can be overwhelmed by play attempts. She did well with a calm dog named Bailey, who gave her space when she needed it. Annie is potty trained and keeps her kennel clean.
