Arden

Hi there! My name is Arden, but my foster parents affectionately call me "Dutchess" or "Mama D." I recently had a beautiful litter of seven puppies on Easter Sunday, and they've all found their forever families. Now, it's my turn to find my own loving home! My foster parents think I'm pretty special – they'd keep me forever if they didn't already have a full house. I'm currently staying in a comfortable spot in their basement, but I'm dreaming of a home with a comfy couch or bed where I can snuggle up with my humans. I absolutely adore being petted, spending quality time with my people, and cuddling. I previously lived with another dog and have shown interest in dogs when we're out and about, so a canine companion might be a great fit for me with slow, proper introductions. I don't have a strong prey drive, so I might even get along with cats. Having a friend to keep me company when my humans are away could be wonderful! I enjoy wipe downs, treats, and of course, lots of love. My foster mama says it's my time to be the baby, and I couldn't agree more!

I'm a fantastic patio companion and have a particular fondness for the patios at Schlafly Bottleworks and Bluewood Brewing, but any patio will do as long as I'm with my favorite people. Schlafly even makes me an unseasoned burger, which is delicious! I'm polite when taking treats, even when we're out in public, and I truly love my food. I'm very friendly to people I meet when we're out and about. While my foster parents haven't seen me interact much with children, I'm a very sweet and good listener, so they suspect I'd be wonderful with them.

I enjoy my walkies, though I do like to do a few "loop-de-loops" – perhaps a bit more leash training would be beneficial if that's something you'd like to work on. I love sunbathing, but I'm quite fair-skinned, so sunscreen and seeking shade are a must. Apparently, I was a wonderful mama dog, taking great care of my puppies and keeping our space clean. I'm also a pro at using potty pads when needed between outdoor breaks. I'm a good, sweet girl who wants to be the very best doggy for you. I'll just need a little patience, a consistent routine, some gentle training, and plenty of love to truly shine. I would be so proud to be your new best friend! Please open your heart and home to me, and I'll be yours forever.

Ideal Home

A home with a couch or bed for cuddling and someone who enjoys spending time with their pets. I would enjoy having a doggy friend with slow introductions, and may do well with cats.

Ongoing Health

I am fair-skinned and need sunscreen and shade when in the sun.

Training & Support

I enjoy walks but tend to do "loop-de-loops," so additional leash training may be beneficial. I am still learning and will benefit from patience, a regular routine, and a little bit of training. I am working on house training and use potty pads if needed between outdoor breaks.
