Princesa is a sweet, 2-year-old, 27 lb Belgian Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a wagging tail ready for her forever home! She's a young, playful, and cheerful girl who absolutely adores her toys, cherishes hugs, and loves to be close to her people. Princesa is incredibly social and thrives on human companionship. When she's in a new environment, her excitement bubbles over as she explores with joy. Her journey started with hardship, as she was abandoned as a tiny pup and spent a cold night alone before being rescued. Thankfully, she was vet-checked and placed in a loving foster home where she blossomed into the affectionate and positive-energy-filled dog she is today.
Ideal Home
Princesa would thrive in a home that understands and appreciates that rescued dogs often need time to adjust. She is not good with cats and prefers to eat her food peacefully without other dogs getting too close.
Ongoing Health
Princesa is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She also receives monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Please note that rescued dogs may have fears or anxieties due to past experiences and require patience.
Training & Support
Princesa barks to alert you to noises or when she wants something. It's important to understand that many rescued dogs, especially those from challenging backgrounds, may not be house-trained. Patience, understanding, and a consistent routine are crucial for helping Princesa settle in and build trust.

- You will be asked to complete an online application and may participate in phone/email interviews and a home check.
- A meet-and-greet (potentially virtual) will be arranged.
- A trial adoption period is offered.
- The adoption fee, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, a month of preventatives, and a health certificate, is finalized prior to transport.
Transporation
Princesa is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
