Meet Swiper, a charming Shiba Inu-Pomeranian mix who is approximately 9 years old and weighs 24 pounds. Swiper is a true survivor, having overcome a history of being a stray, a lengthy stay at animal control, and even heartworm treatment and surgery to remove a tumor from his foot. He's now missing a few toes on one paw, but he doesn't let that slow him down! This sweet boy is ready to steal your heart and become your loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Swiper would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace. He needs a respectful roommate who understands the importance of downtime and can give him the gentle attention he deserves.

Ongoing Health

Swiper has successfully completed heartworm treatment and is now heartworm-negative. He recently underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his foot, resulting in the loss of a few toes. He has also had a thorough dental cleaning.

Training & Support

Swiper is a well-mannered and potty-trained dog. He is vocal when he sees people outside, which is typical of his breed. Like many rescue dogs, Swiper will need a little time to adjust to a new environment and people. Remember the "rule of three": three days, three weeks, and three months are key milestones for a rescue dog to settle into their furever home.
