Hi, I'm Mesa! I'm a super fun pup with adorable white "mitten" paws, floppy ears, and a fluffy tail that wags with excitement. When I'm playing, I love to hop around like a bunny, and when I get really wound up, I get the zoomies and race through the house! I journeyed all the way from New Mexico to find my forever home. My mom was a pit bull mix and my dad was a boxer. I have two siblings who also came to Minnesota.
Ideal Home
I'm doing great with potty training and let my foster parents know when I need to go out by using the bells on the door! I'm working on my kennel training and enjoying kennel games with my foster parents, so I'm happy to sleep in my kennel in their bedroom at night. I already know "sit" and I'm learning "stay," "place," "come," and "down." I'm also practicing my recall, impulse control, and focus. My biggest motivators are treats and toys! I live with a 4-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy with special needs, and a 14-year-old girl who loves to snuggle with me. I haven't met any cats yet. I also live with three dogs: a laid-back 2-year-old male pit bull, a 10-year-old female pit bull who usually walks away when I bother her, and a playful 4-year-old medium pit bull mix who loves to play with me, even when I get a little wild. I can be dominant when I'm scared, but I'm submissive when I feel comfortable. I love walks with my doggy friends and playing tag!
