Violet

Violet is a 1.5-year-old female American Staffordshire Terrier mix who was found roaming the streets of Houston, TX. Despite her difficult past, she has emerged as a sweet, loyal, and trusting companion. Violet is a world-class cuddler who will army crawl across any surface to reach you for affection. She is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is good with dogs of all sizes, drawing confidence from her canine friends. While generally kid-friendly, she can be a little scared of loud youngsters. Violet knows the "sit" command and is making great progress with place and crate training. She is terrified of squeaky toys but is obsessed with the hose and enjoys a good game of tug. Violet has overcome a lot and continues to shine at adoption events, meeting new people and dogs with resilience.

Ideal Home

Violet would thrive in a home with an adopter willing to continue her training to build her confidence. She would also benefit from having another dog friend in the household, as she gains confidence from other dogs.

Violet is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Violet is mostly house-trained and walks well on a leash. She knows "sit" and is progressing in her place and crate training. She is scared of squeaky toys. Continued training to build her confidence is recommended.
