Meet Malouk! This distinguished 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd is a gentle soul with a heart full of love and quiet companionship to offer. He came to us after a difficult life transition and is now ready for a safe, loving home where he can be truly cherished.

Malouk is blind, but his resilience shines through as he navigates life, enjoying walks, naps, and especially treats! He sometimes shows a playful spark, reminding us of his enduring spirit.

Ideal Home

Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key environment. He would be happy as an only pet, but can also do well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand his need for space due to his blindness. He is very friendly with people and has a soft spot for children, making him a gentle presence in the right family.

Ongoing Health

Malouk is blind and may experience some anxiety related to this. He is doing well with calming medication and benefits greatly from a consistent environment.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained but may mark indoors; belly bands have been a simple and effective solution. He will need continued leash training as he can pull, especially when excited or uncertain. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.
