Phineas

Phineas, also known as "Phinny," is a remarkably sweet and gentle soul with a playful spirit and an abundance of love to share. He takes a short while, about 20 minutes, to warm up to new people, but once he does, it's as if he's known you forever. Phinny loves exploring the outdoors, keeps himself entertained with toys, and enjoys playing with his canine companions. He recently stayed with a dog sitter who has two boys (ages 10 and 13), and he did wonderfully with them. His thoughtful and observant nature makes him an excellent companion for adults and respectful children alike.

Ideal Home

Phineas would thrive in a family home. He is a thoughtful, observant companion and would do well with respectful children.

Ongoing Health

Phineas has some skin sensitivities. He receives monthly Cytopoint injections to manage itching and has completed antibacterial and antifungal treatments. Following a flare-up earlier this year, he has recently transitioned to a hydrolyzed diet as recommended by his veterinarian. His future family should be prepared to continue working with their veterinarian to monitor his skin health.

Training & Support

Phineas bonds deeply, plays sweetly, and brings a calm, steady presence to the home. He may need a short introduction period before his full, loving personality shines through.
