Lexi

Meet Lexi! Lexi is a sweet female Yellow Labrador Retriever mix with a thick undercoat. She's a unique girl who is considered a "fear dog." This means she needs a patient and kind adopter who understands she may take a long time to warm up and build trust. She's not a cuddler right now, and it might take months before she's comfortable with being petted, though she does show she's interested by taking treats from your hand! Lexi is doggy door trained and is good with both big and small dogs. She is not yet leash trained.

Ideal Home

Lexi would thrive in an adult-only home where she can be given ample time and kindness to learn to trust. Her adopter must be patient, understanding that it may take a very long time for her to become a "normal" dog, if at all.

Ongoing Health

Lexi is spayed and vaccinated. Her thick undercoat may need brushing during the summer months.

Training & Support

Lexi is not good on a leash yet and will need training in this area. Patience will be key as she builds confidence and trust.
