Channel is an 8-month-old Caramelo Dog weighing 43.6 lbs, who is searching for a loving forever home. Channel’s story began in heartbreaking circumstances. She was born as part of a litter of five puppies on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. The security guards at the site did their best to feed and protect the puppies, but as they grew older, they became curious and adventurous. Tragically, the puppies fell into an oil pit, and Channel was the only survivor. On a cold January 4th, 2026, after learning about the tragedy, her rescuer brought her home to safety. Within days, Channel received the care she desperately needed — since then, she has been given the chance to heal, grow, and learn what love feels like. Channel is a playful and affectionate girl who enjoys attention and gentle pets. She gets along well with cats, dogs, men, and women. At first, she can be protective and cautious around new people, but once she feels safe, her loving personality quickly shines through. Channel can also feel nervous when left alone, so she would do best with a family willing to give her patience, reassurance, and companionship as she continues building confidence. After surviving such a tragic beginning, Channel deserves a family that will give her the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.
Ideal Home
Channel would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a real intention to rescue a dog, not just adopt, and an open conscience about the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer is a must. She also requires high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Channel is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Channel has received the following health treatments: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 shots of DHPPI Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchip, 4DX Test and Certificate, Heartworm test Negative Certificate, Monthly Preventive Protection Nexgard Spectra (fleas, ticks and heartworm), and a Health Certificate. She also has a Vaccines booklet.
Training & Support
Channel is not house-trained and will need consistent work in this area. She can also be nervous when left alone and will require patience, reassurance, and companionship to build her confidence.
