Say hello to William! This 5-year-old, 85-pound bundle of fluff is a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix who believes people are the absolute best thing in the world. He’s perfected the art of leaning in for maximum pets and would surely win gold in an adoration-based Olympic sport!
Ideal Home
William is looking for a home where he can be the sole canine companion, as he prefers not to share his adoration. While he enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park, he needs to be the only dog in his forever home. He previously got along with cats, but has recently decided they are not okay, so a no-cat household is a must. This magnificent guardian is not for first-time dog owners and requires an owner with flock guardian dog experience. He needs a home without children or teens, not because he's a threat, but because he's overly protective of them and can become overwhelmed trying to ensure their safety. He also requires a securely fenced yard, as he has a tendency to roam and patrol his perceived territory.
Ongoing Health
William is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns at this time.
Training & Support
William thrives when he has a job to do, like overseeing his "kingdom" outdoors. While he loves being outside, his greatest joy is being right by your side. Due to his guardian instincts and preference for being the only dog, he'll need a patient and experienced owner to help him adjust and thrive in his new environment.
