Obsidian is a handsome young dog who hasn't had an easy life. After being abandoned, he learned to be very cautious, and because of this, he is very slow to trust new people. He is still quite nervous around strangers and needs a little extra time and reassurance to realize he is safe. However, the dedication it takes to earn his trust is entirely worth it; he has built incredibly strong, beautiful bonds with our shelter staff, proving just how much love he has to give once he feels secure.

While Obsidian takes time to open up, one of the best things about him is the transformation that happens once he does! Behind his shy exterior lies a wonderfully goofy and playful side that will absolutely melt your heart. Earning his trust is a truly rewarding journey, and once you are in his inner circle, you will have a devoted best friend for life.
