Ozzy

Ozzy is an 11-year-old, 13-pound charmer who has truly blossomed! He came to us from California, where he was facing some typical senior dog challenges, but he's now feeling and looking fantastic. Ozzy enjoys spending time in the yard, especially when the weather is nice. He gets along well with other dogs after an initial introduction and even tries to play with them! He's a pro on the leash, walking calmly past other dogs without any fuss. While he's fine in a crate, he also has excellent house manners.

Ideal Home

Ozzy would likely thrive in a home with at least a small fenced yard, as he loves his outdoor time. He's not a fan of overtly imposing individuals and prefers a calm environment. Due to his skittish nature and need for personal space, children would not be a good match for him.

Ongoing Health

Ozzy had a dental cleaning when he was neutered, and his recent bloodwork came back with no concerns.

Training & Support

Ozzy does have some resource guarding around food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other pets. He's also a bit of a cat-dog hybrid when it comes to affection; he enjoys cuddles on his own terms and often prefers to maintain a comfortable distance. He will need time and patience to adjust to a new home.
