Ophelia is a sweet, gentle girl who has already overcome so much in her young life. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas while heavily pregnant, she gave birth to a beautiful litter of puppies just days later. Ophelia proved to be an incredibly devoted mother, showering her pups with all the love and care they needed. Now that her puppies have all found their forever homes, it's finally Ophelia's turn to find her own cherished family. She's a big girl, weighing in at 72lbs, and is recovering well from her motherhood journey. Her calm and easygoing personality makes her a joy to be around. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is respectful of livestock. While she hasn't been formally tested with cats, her laid-back temperament suggests she'll likely do well, and we're happy to conduct a cat test for serious adopters. Ophelia is already using a dog door and is well on her way to being potty-trained. She's a smart girl who should adapt easily to a new routine.
