Nova

Nova is a 2-year-old spayed female Pitbull mix who arrived at the rescue after being found abandoned. She's a little shy initially and needs time to build trust, but once she does, she's incredibly sweet and gentle, even with puppies. Nova adores other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident, outgoing dog or a young puppy. She's also okay with confident adult cats, but prefers older children and can be scared by loud, energetic young kids. Nova is already proficient with doggy doors, enjoys shredding stuffed toys, and is generally quiet, only barking when someone first arrives. She can be a bit nervous around crates and leashes but is learning to tolerate them with gentle encouragement. While she hasn't shown any aggression or food-related guarding, she did seem a little too interested in chickens during her initial trapping.

Ideal Home

Nova would thrive in a home with a confident, outgoing resident dog or a young puppy to keep her company. She prefers a quieter environment with older children and would do best without very young, boisterous kids.

Ongoing Health

Nova is up-to-date on all vaccinations and is spayed.

Training & Support

Nova is still working on her leash and crate training and may need gentle guidance and positive reinforcement.
