Daffy is a 2-year-old, neutered male Plott Hound Mix weighing 65 pounds. He's a resilient and fun-loving boy who was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas. Thanks to Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his foster mom, Daffy is now ready to find his furever family. He adores playing with other dogs and thrives on activity and companionship. Daffy has made the honor roll at doggy daycare, which helps channel his enthusiasm. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, using his crate as a safe space for meals. Daffy knows his name, will come when called, and enjoys playing catch. He's a loyal and energetic companion who is eager to bring joy and excitement to his new home.
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. Because of his size and excitement, he'd be a better fit for a home with children over 10, as he sometimes doesn’t realize his strength when he gets excited.

Training & Support
Daffy is still learning leash manners and tends to pull and zigzag, but he's eager to learn with some guidance. When left unsupervised, Daffy may "relocate" household items to the yard, so crating him is recommended while you’re away. With patience and training, he’ll continue to grow into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be.

- Transports run every few weeks, and we will schedule the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
