Lily

Lily is a sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever mix who is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She's initially a bit shy with new people but blossoms into a loving companion once she feels safe. Lily has a history of abuse, so she'll need slow introductions to any visitors and an adopter with experience in helping dogs build confidence. She's a great traveler in the car and loves her dinner time so much, she does a happy dance! Lily also enjoys cuddling on the couch for TV time and is good with cats.

Ideal Home

Lily would thrive in a quiet home with a family committed to helping her build and maintain her confidence. She needs a securely fenced yard. Due to her past, she requires slow introductions to new people and should not be taken to dog parks or approached by unknown dogs running at her. She does well with other calm dogs.

Training & Support

Lily is house and crate trained. She can be timid when walking on a leash in new areas, but this improves once she becomes familiar with the surroundings. Consistent positive reinforcement will be key to her continued success.
