Whos tiny, white, curly, and extra fluffy? Well, that's Oscar Mayer for you! Oscar is a great boy who is learning the ways of the world. We estimate him to be about 3 years old and about 15 pounds of pure lap dog joy. He's a charming mix of Maltese and Chihuahua, though his breed is never guaranteed in rescue. Oscar has truly blossomed in his foster home, learning about toys, treats, and enjoying life. He's even learned to be gentle with his much older canine siblings, taking corrections well and playfully sharing food bowls. He's a little cutie pie, and his video shows just how sweet he is!
Ideal Home
Oscar is the type of guy who likes to take things slow and earn your trust. Once he loves you, he falls hard and is incredibly loyal. He's a cuddle bug who loves to free roam and sleep in bed with his person. Oscar enjoys relaxing on soft surfaces, like the couch or his cozy dog bed. He's a perfect morning coffee buddy or evening companion, enjoying sunrises and sunsets. Oscar would be best in a home with a yard, as he loves being outdoors and finding shady spots under sunflowers. He would also do best in a calm, routine-oriented home. We believe older children would be best for Oscar due to his timidness and preference to take things slow. He hasn't been cat tested, but we believe he'd be okay with a cat, though he might want to play eventually.
Ongoing Health
Oscar is up to date on all his vetting, including vaccinations and deworming.
Training & Support
Oscar is still learning, but he takes corrections well and is gentle with other animals. He enjoys a peaceful environment and would benefit from a home that can offer him routine and calmness.
