Rascal

Meet Rascal Rascal is a 4-year-old Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix who was surrendered when his owner could no longer afford to care for him. Shelter life has been a big adjustment for this little guy, but with patience and consistency, he's proving just how much progress he can make.

According to his previous owner, Rascal can be an excessive barker and may growl or bark at unfamiliar people. However, once he gets to know you, he's a friendly and loyal companion who enjoys being with the people he trusts.

Staff say Rascal has made tremendous progress since arriving at the shelter. While he initially struggled with the shelter environment, the dedication of our volunteers has helped him build confidence. He now allows handling, has become much more comfortable interacting with people, and has even participated in playgroup, showing just how far he's come.

Rascal is looking for a patient adopter who understands that he may need a little time to settle into a new home. With kindness, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he will continue to gain confidence and show the sweet personality hiding beneath his cautious exterior
