Alba

Alba is a wonderfully loving, intelligent, and playful young lady who is approximately 1 year old and weighs around 30 lbs. She's a mixed breed with Labrador and Creole heritage and was rescued in March 2024. Alba is energetic, sociable, and loves to play, go for walks, run, and especially loves receiving affection. While she can be a little shy when first meeting new people, she quickly melts into your arms once she feels comfortable. She's also dog and cat friendly, docile, loyal, and brings a lot of joy and laughter with her playful spirit. Alba is already crate and leash trained. She was rescued along with her six siblings in a field on March 8, 2024.

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. She needs a family with an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, as well as experience in dog behavior and training. High tolerance and patience are a must for this rescued pup.

Ongoing Health

Alba has a comprehensive health protocol including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

While Alba is crate and leash trained, it's important to note that she is not house-trained. The rescue emphasizes that rescued pets often require patience and education regarding house training.

Transportation

Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on the next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address on the East Coast is available for an additional fee.
