Maya

Maya is a 67 lb sweetheart who is looking for her forever home! She was surrendered to us due to some health issues. When Maya arrived, she had a mammary tumor, was extremely anemic (requiring a blood transfusion), and was diagnosed with Tick Fever. She has since had her tumor removed and is doing wonderfully!

Her foster mom describes Maya as being very sweet and her shadow. She's happy as can be and shows no aggression towards other dogs, even when meeting a particularly assertive Jack Russell! Maya comes when called, has good manners in the house, and loves to be wherever her people are. She settles well in her kennel at night and is content on her bed in the bedroom when her foster mom is out. Maya is also very patient and tolerant when it comes to her medical care. Her absolute favorite thing is balls – she gets so excited when playing pickleball and a ball escapes into the yard! Maya is a loving girl who is ready to be someone's loyal companion.

Maya would love a home where she can be your shadow and be involved in your daily activities.

Ongoing Health

Maya's vet recommends medical retesting for cancer every 3 months for up to a year. Local adoption is recommended due to the potential costs of future treatment if needed.

Training & Support

Maya has excellent house manners and comes when called. She enjoys playing with balls.
