Vada

Vada is a 5-year-old, 50 lb spayed female pittie mix with a beautiful grey and white coat and a magnetic personality. She's playful, affectionate, and full of life, bringing energy, joy, and nonstop tail wags wherever she goes. If you're looking for a fun, loving companion who's always ready to be part of the action, Vada is your girl. She's a social butterfly with other dogs, loving high-energy play and interacting with dogs of all sizes. She reads social cues well, making her a fun but respectful playmate. On leash, she gets excited to meet other dogs, as she just loves making new friends! Vada currently lives with kids ranging from 4 to 18 years old and absolutely adores them. She is friendly, affectionate, and loves being part of a family environment. Her only noted quirk is her excitement when greeting people; she can jump up, so supervision and continued training around greetings will help set her up for success. Vada is a dream on leash, walking beautifully and being easy to handle, making daily walks enjoyable and stress-free. She is fully house-trained and does great in a crate, using it as her space to relax and eat her meals. She has no issues with food or resource guarding and shows great manners around people and other dogs. Vada has a moderate energy level, loving to play and be active but also knowing how to settle and relax. She would thrive in an active home that can provide regular exercise and engagement. She doesn't need another dog to be happy but would enjoy a playful companion. Vada is outgoing, curious, playful, smart, silly, and incredibly affectionate. She loves her toys and is always ready for a game or some cuddle time. She is very people-oriented and will happily shower you with love, truly a Velcro dog at heart. When meeting strangers, Vada is friendly and excited; she loves people and isn't shy about showing it. She may jump up in her excitement, so continued work on polite greetings will go a long way. • If we believe it may be a good match, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview, followed by a video call with the foster home.
• A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process.
• Once approved, the dog will be placed on the next available transport.

Transporation

Vada is being fostered in Austin, Texas and is available for adoption out-of-state. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
