Poppy

Poppy is a 13-year-old, 9-pound female Chihuahua mix with a heart full of sunshine! She's a happy-go-lucky bundle of energy who will greet you with endless tail wags, zoomies, and adorable flop-overs. Poppy adores attention, snuggles, and ear scratches, and she's friendly with everyone she meets. While we haven't seen her with young children, we're confident she'd make a wonderful companion for kids. She also gets along famously with other dogs and cats, making her a versatile addition to many homes. Poppy loves exploring the yard and walks beautifully on a leash, making her the perfect speed-walking partner. When indoors, she enjoys chasing and retrieving toys. She's content on car rides and is okay being home alone occasionally, but her social butterfly nature means she truly thrives with human company. She would do best in a home with other pets, whether canine or feline companions. Poppy previously lived as an outdoor-only dog, but she has fully embraced the joys of indoor living. However, she cherishes her freedom to roam a spacious yard and may try to take herself on a "joy-stroll" around the block, so a securely fenced yard is a must to keep her safe. Poppy came to us when her guardian fell ill and could no longer care for her.

Ideal Home

Poppy would do best in a home with other dogs or cats, and a securely fenced yard to keep her safe from impromptu strolls.

Poppy is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Poppy is comfortable with indoor living but enjoys her freedom. A securely fenced yard is necessary to prevent her from wandering off on her own "joy-strolls."
