Meet Gina! She's a vibrant 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, tipping the scales at 56lbs. Gina had a tough start, found abandoned as a tiny puppy near a busy road. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family has given her a second chance at finding a loving forever home. She's a playful pup who adores her doggy friends, especially when a game of tug-of-war is involved! While she can be a little shy around new, larger dogs due to a past negative experience, she lives harmoniously with both small and large dogs in her foster home. She's a bit too excited by neighborhood cats, so a cat-free home is best. Gina is eager for human affection but hasn't been around children. She can be a bit jumpy when she's happy, so a home with older, dog-savvy children (10+) would be ideal. She'd thrive in an active household with someone dedicated to daily play. Gina is a toy enthusiast and loves to gather her treasures! She's mastered fetch and is happy to entertain herself. We believe she'd do well with older kids, a couple, or even a solo adopter, and having another dog in the home would be a great companion for her. Gina is a gorgeous girl who will make a fantastic addition to the right family!
Ideal Home
An active home that can provide daily play and enrichment. A family with older, dog-savvy children (10+). A home without cats. A home with another dog is recommended.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat treats alone and is in a "puppy velociraptor stage," meaning she'll need guidance on appropriate chew toys. Adopters should be prepared to provide ongoing socialization and positive training.
