Meet Float, a charming 7-8 year old, 53 lb sweetheart with a heart of gold! Float's journey began in a North Carolina shelter where he spent many long days on concrete floors, leading to pressure sores on his elbows. Just as the shelter faced closure, we stepped in to give Float a second chance.
During his first vet visit, we discovered Float has partial vision loss and arthritis in his back legs. Despite these challenges, and the fact that he's a bit older than initially thought at 7-8 years old, Float's spirit remains incredibly bright and joyful. He's friendly and easygoing with everyone he meets, including children, cats, and other dogs. He absolutely loves playtime with his canine pals and going for leisurely "sniffaris." While he might occasionally bump into things in new environments, he quickly gets the hang of his surroundings and navigates homes with confidence.
Ideal Home
Float would thrive in a home that embraces his gentle nature. He's wonderful with kids, cats, and dogs, making him a fantastic addition to a variety of households.
Ongoing Health
Float has partial vision loss and arthritis in his back legs. The pressure sores on his elbows from his time in the previous shelter are healing well.

Float is house-trained and a quick learner. With his loving and smart personality, he's sure to continue blossoming in a supportive environment.
