Krockett

Krockett is a handsome 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs about 55 lbs. He's a rescuer from Houston, Texas, and has been with us since March 2024. Krockett is a true ray of sunshine, always sporting a happy smile and exuding loyalty and intelligence. He's a playful, joyful, and active boy who would thrive in a similarly active household that enjoys spending time outdoors. Krockett is already crate and leash trained, and he's a pro at car rides!

Ideal Home

Krockett would be happiest in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that loves outdoor adventures. Because he's a rescue, he'll need a family with an open mind about the needs of street animals, understanding their journey requires protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a good dose of patience and tolerance for a rescued pup.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has completed his spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. He also has a negative heartworm test and a health certificate. His vaccination booklet is up to date.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained, he is not yet house-trained. We understand that fostering many animals means we can't always focus on house-training every single one, so his new family will need to continue this training.

Transportation

Krockett is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and PNW if adopted! A transport fee of $250.00 will apply, which is paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
