Vanna

Meet Vanna, a charming approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! Vanna is a true "velcro dog" who thrives on companionship and will be happiest by your side, whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or embarking on an exciting adventure. She's playful, affectionate, and loves a good game of fetch and leisurely walks. Vanna is also a fantastic car rider, making her the perfect co-pilot for all your outings. She's been trusted to roam freely in the house and has shown no destructive tendencies, as her primary focus is always on being close to her favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and attention. While she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) and is good with dog-savvy cats, she's best as the only dog in the home. She can sometimes be reactive on leash towards other dogs, so continued leash training will be important. Vanna is reserved with strangers initially but warms up to be friendly. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space.

Ongoing Health

Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. Like many dogs who have experienced trauma, she is actively working on certain behaviors.

Training & Support

Vanna is still working through some challenges and will benefit from continued patience and consistency. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people. Ongoing support with leash manners is recommended, and she is still polishing up her potty training, so occasional accidents may happen. Vanna is crate trained and has so much potential to continue growing with the right guidance.

Transporation

Vanna is currently located in Texas. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved.
