Ollie is a fluffy, soft, plush-like Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix, about 2 years old and weighing around 22 pounds. He is a gentle, sensitive little boy who can be shy at first. New people and environments can feel overwhelming for him, so he needs a little time to adjust and feel safe. Unfortunately, during the first couple of days, Ollie may hide in his crate, growl, show his teeth, or even try to bite if someone tries to pull him out before he feels comfortable. This is fear-based behavior, not aggression. He simply needs patience, understanding, and the opportunity to decompress at his own pace. Once Ollie realizes he is safe, he becomes the sweetest, most loving little boy. He is incredibly affectionate, very people-oriented, and deeply bonds with his humans. Ollie is friendly with other dogs, but he does have a dominant personality. Because of this, he would do best either as the only dog in the home or with a calm, soft-tempered companion dog. And trust us — if you can give Ollie a few days of patience and understanding, you will end up with one of the most wonderful, devoted little dogs in the world, who will absolutely adore his people.
