Steve

Steve was discovered outside the shelter doors, huddled in a laundry basket filled with trash. He was terribly underweight and neglected, with toenails so long they were curling into his paw pads. The initial thought was that euthanasia might be the kindest option, but when Steve realized people cared about him, he lifted his head as if to say, "I'm still here!" He has a long road to recovery, but he's getting stronger every day. Steve is a resilient pup who deserves a second chance at a happy life.

Steve would thrive in a home where he can continue his recovery and receive plenty of love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Steve is currently recovering from malnourishment and neglect. He is receiving veterinary care and will continue to need a nutritious diet and gentle exercise as he regains his strength.

Training & Support

Steve is new to understanding routines and positive reinforcement. Patience and consistency will be key to helping him build confidence and learn new things.
