Say hello to Jorah! This handsome boy is an estimated Mountain Cur or Plott Hound mix with a beautiful brindle and black coat. Jorah is one of our "Forget-Me-Nots," a special group of dogs who have a bit more of a journey to find their forever homes. He and his sister were found abandoned on farmland, and while they were a bit rough around the edges when they arrived, they've since blossomed with care! Jorah can be a little shy with new people, but once he decides you're his person, he bonds incredibly strongly. He was previously adopted but was returned because he struggled with being alone for long periods. Jorah is a sweet soul who absolutely adores affection and attention. He's also quite trainable and already knows some commands. If you're looking for a devoted companion and can provide a stable, understanding environment, Jorah could be your perfect match!

Ideal Home

Jorah thrives in a home where he can form a deep bond with his person. He needs to be the only animal in the household, and he's best suited for a single person living alone.

Jorah has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Jorah is a smart cookie and very trainable, already knowing some commands. He will benefit from an experienced handler and will need dedicated behavioral modification training both before and after adoption to help him with his anxieties about being alone and his strong bonding tendencies.
