Banyan

Banyan is a sweet, very social, and very friendly 8-year-old, 6.8-pound Chihuahua who came to us from animal control with his daughter, Linen. He's a true man about town who loves everyone he meets and fits right into any pack. While he's fine in a kennel if needed, he's still learning about leashes. You'll want to break up his treats for him, as he tends to swallow them whole! Banyan is looking for his forever home and is ready to share his love and companionship.

Ideal Home

Banyan would thrive in a home where he is an indoor-only pet and a cherished member of the family. He needs to be monitored and protected when outside at all times due to predator threats. Homes with no small children are a must, and this also applies to visiting grandchildren.

Ongoing Health

Banyan has had his bilateral cherry eyes corrected, is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and fecal negative. He is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention and is microchipped. No health issues are currently observed.

Training & Support

Banyan is still learning about leashes and may need guidance with house-training, as is common with dogs in a rescue environment. We recommend kenneling when he cannot be supervised to aid in house-training and prevent destructive tendencies.

Transportation

Banyan is located in Benton, LA. We do not ship or transport animals. Adopters willing and able to travel to us once approved may adopt out of state.
