Meet Petal – a delicate, beautiful soul who has clearly been through far too much. At just 31 pounds and 4 years old, she came to us severely emaciated, shut down, and terrified. She would hide in the back of her kennel, too scared to move, and had to be carried outside. But even in her fear, Petal is showing us her strength. With patience and kindness, she’s already taken a few brave steps forward — walking out on her own, nibbling on treats, and cautiously exploring the world around her. Her eyes soften with gratitude when she realizes someone is being gentle with her. The best news? Petal has found a wonderful foster home for the next four weeks, where she will be loved, nourished, and given the chance to learn that she is safe. Her fosters are already seeing her spirit peek through, and with time, food, and care, we know this scared darling will blossom into the loving companion she’s meant to be. Petal’s journey is just beginning, but one thing is certain — she is ready for a forever family who will cherish her and show her that the world can be kind.
