Charlie

Charlie is a handsome 9-year-old Lab/Cur mix who is looking for a comfortable retirement home to call his own. He is a loving boy who enjoys car rides and walks on a leash, and he has a sweet way of pawing at you to get your attention. Charlie is house-trained and would love nothing more than to be your loyal companion, cuddling up with you when playtime is over. He was surrendered along with his brother when their owners were evicted from their home.

Ideal Home

Charlie would do best as an only pet or with medium to large-sized dogs. He has shown to be not good with small dogs, and his compatibility with cats is unknown. He would love a nice yard to play in, but most importantly, a comfy bed and his person to cuddle with.

Ongoing Health

Charlie is generally healthy. He had a concerning lump on his toe and the top of his foot removed in May 2022, which was suspected to be a mast cell tumor. The vet felt they were able to remove it all. He was also treated for an ear infection and hookworms in the past.

Training & Support

Charlie is house-trained, but as with any rescue, this cannot be guaranteed. He may be shy and standoffish initially due to his recent life changes, but he adjusts quickly with time and patience.
