Meet Piper, a delightful 9-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix who weighs a petite 5 pounds. Piper is searching for a loving new beginning after her previous owner faced a devastating house fire. She's eager to find a warm lap and a forever home to call her own.

This little lady might be a bit reserved at first, but her sweet and affectionate nature truly blossoms once she feels secure. Piper thrives on attention and cuddles, finding her greatest joy snuggled up close to her favorite human or basking in the sun for a peaceful nap. She appreciates the simple pleasures: leisurely neighborhood strolls, exciting car rides, the occasional pup cup, and plenty of quality cuddle time. Piper has experience living with other animals and, with proper introductions, can get along well with cats and other small dogs.

Ideal Home

Piper would do best in a home with older children, as she's still adjusting to new environments. She is adjusting well to crate training at the shelter. She can be vocal at times and may experience some separation anxiety. She is not yet fully potty trained and will need frequent opportunities to go outside.

Ongoing Health

Piper is spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, dewormed, up-to-date on prevention medications and age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped.
