POLKA DOTS*

Meet Polka Dots, an adolescent Queensland Heeler mix with a heart full of playful energy! She arrived at the shelter as a stray, so her past is a bit of a mystery, but her present is full of wagging tails and happy barks. Polka Dots is a social butterfly who loves interacting with staff and volunteers, always eager for playtime and affection. She's shown interest in other dogs at the shelter, and we're excited to see her blossom in a home environment.

Ideal Home

Polka Dots would thrive in a home where she can continue to explore and play. Any resident dogs should meet her prior to adoption to ensure a harmonious introduction. We don't have any history of her interactions with cats or children.

Ongoing Health

Polka Dots is currently awaiting her spay surgery. She will be available for adoption once this procedure is complete.

Training & Support

Polka Dots is a young pup ready to learn! The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is offering “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every dog adoption, providing a $200 training voucher. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and Polka Dots to connect with local positive reinforcement trainers and build a strong, happy bond.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Visit the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter at 1001 Rodriguez St., Santa Cruz, CA 95062.
• Shelter hours are 11 am - 6 pm, 7 days a week.
• Meet-and-greets (meeting an animal out of their kennel) end at 4:30 pm daily. Please arrive before 4:00 pm to allow ample time for discussion and introductions.
