Meet Diego, a handsome five-month-old black Lab puppy whose resilience is as sweet as his disposition. He was rescued after being abandoned near a truck stop, where he spent days trying to survive on his own. Initially unsure of his rescuers, he eventually realized they were there to help and was safely brought to an animal hospital for much-needed care, quiet, and rest.

Though his past experiences have made him a little reserved at first, Diego warms up quickly and has an incredibly gentle and loving personality. He's discovering that people can be wonderful and is already showing a love for other dogs, as is typical for young Labs. With continued training, structure, and plenty of love, he is sure to blossom into an incredible companion. If you're looking for a kind-hearted best friend with an inky black coat and long, lanky legs, and you believe in building relationships based on trust, Diego might be your perfect match.
