Meet Granny May!
Don't let the name fool you -- she's a fabulous, slightly seasoned lady with a heart of gold. Around 6 years young, this sweet, delightfully chonky queen found her way to us as a stray and has been winning hearts ever since. Granny May is gentle, affectionate, and happiest soaking up cozy couch time with her favorite people. She has the cutest little wiggle, soulful eyes, and a way of making you feel instantly loved. Once she bonds with you, she is completely devoted -- your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your forever best friend. She is amazing with kids and truly adores them. Patient, sweet, and deeply loyal, she forms beautiful bonds with the little ones in her life. Granny May is naturally protective of her home and family. She prefers proper introductions to new people, after which she treats them like they've always been part of her circle. She's unsure and watchful at first, protective of her loved ones -- but never aggressive. She meets strangers here that she's introduced to regularly and has become well loved at the shelter.
Ideal Home
Granny May would do best as the only pet in a calm, structured home where she can relax and soak up all the love for herself.
Ongoing Health
Granny May is heartworm positive, but the treatment is fully covered by DHS. She's ready to leave stray life behind and settle into a safe, loving forever home full of couch cuddles, belly rubs, and unconditional love.
