Maximus

Looking for somebody to make you happy? To accompany you on strolls through the forest preserve? Hang out by the fire with? Maybe just a little Netflix and cuddles? LOOK NO FURTHER...

I’m Maximus, Max for short, and at around 5 years old, don't let my big ol' head fool you because I am only 65 lbs. I enjoy going on adventures just as much as I love a good Netflix and cuddle session. So far, my favorite outdoor adventures include swimming and walking through the forest preserve (and the car rides to get there!). People often describe me as sweet, handsome, loving, smart, a mama's boy, chill, laid-back, and eager to please.

Ideal Home

Max would do best in a home with older children, as he's still learning to control his strength and jumping height. He needs to be the king of his castle and prefers to be the only animal in the home, as he doesn't like to share his space with other dogs or cats. However, he can still go for walks and enjoy the great outdoors, as long as his people ensure he has his space when passing other dogs.

Max is up-to-date on core vaccines, altered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Max has been learning a lot of new things, including problem-solving, door manners, and walking nicely on a leash. He's even learned to use buttons to communicate his needs and wants, including "eat," "water," "outside," "cuddles," and "help." He has also attended obedience and manners classes.
