Dansby

Dansby is a beautiful beagle girl, about 4 years old, who is blossoming into a wonderful indoor companion. She arrived with her sister Elsa and is quickly discovering the joys of being a cherished family pet, even snuggling with her foster poodle sister on the couch! Dansby is a sweet soul, a little shy initially, but her true, fun-loving personality is shining through as she adjusts. She's doing remarkably well with housebreaking and has a charming habit of discovering toys, carrying them around, and taking them to her bed. Unlike many beagles, Dansby isn't highly food-motivated and eats slowly, showing no signs of food aggression. She is friendly and playful with both people and other dogs in her foster home. While a bit nervous at the vet's office, she managed well.

Ongoing Health

Dansby has tested positive for heartworms and has begun treatment. She was heartworm negative upon arrival and had been on prevention, but it's now known she contracted them prior to her intake.

Training & Support

Dansby sometimes barks at other dogs when on a leash and will need some training to address this.
