Very nice to meet you, I'm Janeane! I'm about 1 year old and currently weigh about 50 lbs. I can sometimes be shy, but my foster family has been taking me on lots of outings and are really proud of how my confidence is building! You just need to have two magic items - treats and other dogs! I sleep like an angel in my crate overnight but am now trusted to choose my own spot (I choose my crate with the open door), I haven't had an accident in the house yet and I'm a breeze to walk. I'm fine sharing my toys (I love all kinds!) and food with humans and other dogs, aren't touchy about my tail/paws/ears/etc (after I'm comfortable with you) and crave affection so you better be okay with giving scratchies! I love walks where I can sniff and inspect everything. I am great on car rides. I haven't met any cats yet. Younger kids can make me nervous, they move fast and that's scary, I'll duck and maybe growl to have them calm down, but I've been great with older kids. I've lived with big and small dogs. I do NEED another confident dog to show me the ropes and help me understand that I'm okay. I also have a rough and tumble play style, so a dog friend with is okay with that is important. So, let's do this, I can't wait show you my silly, sweet, submissive, cuddly side that makes everyone fall in love.
Ideal Home
Janeane needs another confident dog in the home to help her learn and feel secure. She also thrives with older children and a family who is patient and understanding.
Ongoing Health
Janeane is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Janeane is house-trained and walks well on a leash. She has learned to be comfortable in her crate but can also be trusted to free-roam when she chooses her crate with an open door. She is still building confidence and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training.
